A Close Finish

KKR’s hopes rested on the explosive duo of Andre Russell and Rinku Singh, who needed 54 runs from the last 24 balls. However, Shardul Thakur returned in the 17th over and dismissed Russell, thanks to a sensational catch by David Miller at long-off. Despite Rinku Singh’s fiery late charge, including 14 runs off Avesh Khan in the penultimate over, KKR were left needing 24 from the final over.

Harshit Rana started with a boundary, but Ravi Bishnoi kept his composure, restricting KKR’s chances. Rinku Singh tried valiantly, hitting two fours and a six, but KKR fell just four runs short, finishing at 234/7.
